FESTO 8023858 Energy-efficient Compressed Air Management – Equipment Set AirCS AirCS
Energy-efficient compressed air management
Compressed air energy monitoring and compressor control are taught in a practical and comprehensive manner with the Energy Efficient Compressed Air Management, Advanced Level (AirCS) equipment set. As part of a continuous learning project, the essential aspects of the provision and distribution of compressed air are examined with regard to energy efficiency.
Learning Goals
- Generation, preparation and distribution of compressed air
- Condition monitoring
- Flow measurement and flow resistance
- Effect of leakage
- Pressure losses in distribution networks
Benefits
- Efficient compressed air applications
- Recording pneumatic and electrical consumption values
- FluidLab-AirCS license included
- Industrial quality components
- Can be used in the A4 mounting frame or on the lab table
Further Information
The exercises are divided into the areas of condition monitoring, load management, long-term monitoring, flow resistance and nominal flow measurement. The execution of the project exercises is supported with connection diagrams, descriptions and sample solutions. The interface to the pneumatic components, as well as the sensor technology, can also be adapted via the software.
The control of the measurement process is also taken over by the software. Results can be measured with measuring points, printed or exported to a spreadsheet program. In addition, the software includes the entire exercise collection as a PDF file. The languages (de/en) are switchable in the software.
The view of the overall system
The compressed air application is preceded by the generation, preparation and distribution up to the respective application. Compressed air is a precious form of energy. Nevertheless, often little is done to design the overall system efficiently. Consumptions are rarely measured or monitored. The cost situation remains mostly intransparent. This is where the Air Control System AirCS® comes in.
As part of the learning project with AirCS®, the essential aspects of the provision and distribution of compressed air are examined with regard to energy efficiency. The AirCS® EduTrainer forms the basis for this. It is integrated between the compressed air generation (compressor) and the process. The integrated measurement technology, together with the FluidLab-AirCS® software, enables innovative condition monitoring for measuring compressed air and power consumption.
