Serial port server is a standard 1U rack-mounted 32 serial port protocol converter between RS232/485/422 and TCP/IP developed by Shanghai ZLAN Information Technology Co., LTD. ZLAN5W12 supports 32 RS232 serial ports /32 RS485/RS422 serial ports (RS422 requires 5W12-422 models), and RS232 supports flow control. Connected to the ZLAN5W12 through one network cable, 32 serial ports can work in full duplex at the same time. Each serial port can be used as TCP server, TCP client, UDP, and UDP multicast. Supports four network ports with the switch function.
ZLAN5W12 uses an IP address for each of the eight serial ports (ports). Different ports are distinguished by ports. It also supports eight IP addresses for eight serial ports. Ports are the same and can be distinguished by IP addresses. A total of 32 IP addresses are required. ZLAN5W12 has the functions of Modbus TCP to Modbus RTU and serial port to Telnet protocol.
