SMC 52-IP8*01 Smart Positioner Intrinsically Safe/Explosion Proof,
Smart positioners are designed to be paire with process control valves. Additionally,
the 52-versions comply with ATEX directive category 1 as intrinsically safe and explosion proof.
Two temperature classes are available,
including T4/T5, or T6. The IP8001 lever type is for stem type valves, typically with diaphragm actuators.
The IP8101 rotary type is for rotary valves with oscillating actuators.
Each positioner serves as the source of pneumatic actuating pressure and as a feedback device for the actuator position and valve shut off.
Buttons and an LCD display are use for calibration and to change parameter settings.
Operation can set for positive or reverse direction relative to current input signal.
Different levers are available, depending on valve stroke (8001) or mounting variations (8101).
Smart positioners are suitable for application in industries such as pulp and paper, food and beverage, waste water treatment.
